Dive into the Desert and Discover the Other Side of Egypt

In the Sinai Peninsula, there is a refreshing coastal paradise next to the desert. The resort resort Sharm El Sheikh attracts visitors from all over the world with a variety of activities ranging from snorkeling to thrilling trekking. Come here and explore the wonders of the Egyptian coast.

Sharm el-Sheikh is full of opportunities for ocean exploration. Naama Bay is the gateway to the Red Sea and is popular with snorkelers and beach lovers. Located about 40 minutes from Ras Mohammed National Park, it features geometric sculptures of the Gate of Allah. The park offers spectacular snorkeling as well as activities such as diving with whale sharks and exploring mangroves. More than 1,000 species of fish live in the shallow waters, and swimmers can get up close and personal with barracudas, turtles and starfish. In the interior, the region is equally charming.

The ancient Mount Sinai is an important site for Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, making it a major destination for pilgrims. Follow the camel trail to the summit at 2285 meters above sea level. This ascent is five kilometers each way and is said to follow in the footsteps of the prophet Moses. For endurance hikers, the Mount Sinai Trail takes about 52 days, 550 kilometers. Considered one of the best hikes in the world, you’ll meet Bedouin tribes along the way and learn about the region’s heritage from your local guide.

Back in the center of Sharm El Sheikh, the Sahaba Mosque welcomes visitors of all religions. This mosque is a blend of multiple styles and ornate minarets and domes, unlike other buildings in the area. It opened in 2017 and reflects Sharm El Sheikh’s modernization and expansion over the past few decades.

As the city grew, so did the nightlife. Visitors can relax with a shisha or enjoy traditional food outside, while vendors sell a variety of produce at the illuminated bazaar. As one of Egypt’s most popular tourist attractions, Sharm El Sheikh highlights the unique beauty of the Sinai Peninsula.
